2023 Series Closer Than It Looked
Although Florida did sweep Carolina in the 2023 Eastern Conference final, that series was contested much more closely than it sounds. All four games were one-goal decisions. Game 1 featured four overtimes and wound up being the sixth-longest game in NHL playoffs history.

Could Svechnikov Be Difference Maker For Hurricanes?
In that 2023 Eastern Conference final meeting, Carolina forward Andrei Svechnikov was missing the entire set against the Panthers due to a season-ending knee injury. Not only is he good to go this time around, Svechnikov is second in the NHL playoffs this spring with eight goals.
Players to have 8+ goals, 3+ game-winning goals, 35+ shots on goal & 2 or fewer penalty minutes through 10 games of a single playoff run:

Hurricanes goalie Frederik Andersen is also proving to be a major stumbling block for enemy shooters. The Danish netminder is leading all goalies with multiple postseason starts in goals-against average (1.36) and save percentage (.937).
Florida vs Carolina NHL Playoffs Picks
The Panthers took a breath after an impressive 6-1 Game 5 win at Toronto and fell 2-0 at home in Game 6. Now that they've survived a win or go home Game 7 on the road, it's not going to be at all surprising that this team will again exhale and perhaps not bring the club's A game to the ice for the Eastern Conference final opener.
To win, though, Carolina must overcome the club's 12-game losing streak in Eastern Conference final series. Still, you have to think those four days of rest will serve the Hurricanes well against a weary bunch of Panthers.
